Review on Daytona Helmets Motorcycle Open Face Helmet Cruiser- 100% DOT Approved Motorcycle & Powersports by Jorge Tupou

Great low profile helmet

So far this helmet is living up to expectations. This is one of the flattest helmets I've ever owned. It replaces the Licks NOVDOT 3/4 helmet and when I put them side by side they look almost the same, see picture. I've only had this helmet for a few weeks but have tested it in all typical riding situations. Even at highway speeds I don't lift my helmet off and it stays in place. This is on a bare bike with no windshield. The only thing I don't like is the strap. I've never had a helmet with this feature, maybe I just need to get used to it. Also, there is no fastener for an extra helmet strap, so you have to stow it somewhere to keep it from blowing in the wind. bigger and rounder. I would classify the Daytona as an intermediate oval, so it sits a little better on my head. I was between sizes (ML) on licks, so the larger ones became looser over time. The Daytona I went for ended up on the plus size end and the fit is snugger and more comfortable. I was originally planning on getting another Lick in a smaller size as they have changed their helmet quite a bit since I bought this one but they always have stock and the Daytona was almost half the price. I'm almost willing to bet these helmets are made in the same factory. If you are looking for a low profile 3/4 helmet I would highly recommend the Daytona.
