Great for pipe transitions
I'm using this as a temporary transition between the routed CPVC pipe that was in our house when we bought the house and the new PEX pipe that it will replace. It worked great the first time, no leaks and no SharkBite "adjustment" tool. One thing that definitely helped with this was using a CPVC cutting tool like the Ridgid 23498. It gives a nice clean cut without leaving any marks. Drill. I love that I can detach and reuse this fitting later as our pipe replacement project progresses.
