Review on Sennheiser HD 600 Professional Stereo Headphones - Open Dynamic Design for Hi-Fi Audio (Black) by Daniel Young Joong H ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with the product, it is made well, the price is also pleasing.

1) For about 15 years, it was believed that the HD600 is the standard. When a person first gets acquainted with open dynamic headphones after reading reviews, he usually finds the HD600 sounding great (I fell into their ranks at one time). However, those who have other more expensive headphones in the "zoo" such as the Beyerdynamic Amirone, 1770PRO, ATH 1000-2022 series, as well as isodynamics, will find these senshi too boring. HD650s have more bass, 660S are already more balanced and I would recommend paying attention to 660S. 2) Headphones are extremely comfortable and ergonomic. Easy to take off and put on. 3) The peculiarity of these ears is that the nature of the sound changes little on different sources. I would recommend sources with pronounced, sharp and dynamic high frequencies to compensate a little for the "deafness" of these ears. I liked the sound on the Creative AE-5. 4) I wouldn't say the HD600s are oaky, most modern in-ear amps drive the HD600 easily. It is clear that a built-in or external ZK with USB power is not suitable here. 5) Sometimes I use it to listen in the background.

Pros
  • 1) Excellent ergonomics and fit on the head 2) Acceptable sound quality in this price range 3) Soft sound - suitable for background listening 4) 300 Ohm - suitable for tube ear 5) Open design
Cons
  • 1) Due to the fact that this model is an upgraded version of Senn 59., the concepts of high-quality sound correspond to 20 years ago. Although for this price it will do. 2) The sound is blurry. In comparison with more modern designs, albeit more expensive, you understand that there is progress in technology, but it passed the Sennheisers with the retirement of the founder, Fritz Sennheiser. 3) Despite the open design, the stereo panorama is somewhat narrower. 4) Weakly expressed HF.
