My Shih Tzu was about five months old when I bought him a second playpen when he moved out of the 24" playpen we bought escaped. He had this 32 inch high playground for about a week until he learned to walk away from it. The quality is good but the puppy doesn't hold up inside. We tried everything to keep him inside but every time we came home he would run around terrorizing our four cats. I thought this 32 inch playpen would push my pup but he finds a way every time. It's a playpen and he maintains it daily. He loves his playpen, but doesn't often stay upright. He sidesteps and slams into one of the other sides, causing the arena to collapse. He manages to break the web covers on them. I ended up buying a metal playpen for the inside but I wouldn't be surprised if it pops out. It's a good playpen and survived our pup's chewing and crushing. Not all puppies can walk well so I haven't removed the stars based on my experience, but I do remove the stars behind the net. Covers as it is awkward to keep them zipped. Once you've closed the zipper, it would be wise not to open it. Even without a destructive pup destroying two of them, I don't think these mesh covers are any good.
