The version of this air freshener that I received is Iris and it smells nice - definitely floral. It works in the same way as a reed diffuser. You remove the inner lid and screw the lid back on. The liquid diffuses the scent through the wick and it works very well. The smell is not very strong, which I think is good for a small space like a car. The instructions state that the bottle is to be attached to double-sided foam rubber tape. I suspect if you place it on the dash or flat surface it will fit perfectly and securely in my car's cup holders, so I think that's the preferred position from my understanding. Although it's marketed as a car air freshener, there's no reason you can't use it at home too. This is a decent product for the asking price and should last a long time.
