These switches work fine as replacements for the Cherry Browns that came with my keyboard, which started to fail after a couple of years. These replacements work fine for backlit keyboards. The original switches on my keyboard were much clearer than these, but once the keycap is on, it's really hard to see a difference in brightness. The feel is similar, though these replacements aren't quite as bouncy, and the tactile bump is very slightly less than the originals. Its very lose, and I don't know which switch (the originals or these replacements) are closer to spec.
