Setting up this whole baby monitor was really easy. I found it to be a lot easier to download the app initially because after downloading the app and then setting up the monitor I was able to connect it almost immediately. It also helped because then I could see how I wanted to set up the camera and where the best spot would be. In terms of picture quality, the picture is in color during the day or with the lights on, but everything is clear. So clear that I can see the bush moving near the window when it's windy outside and flying across the room. At night it goes black and white, but even then I can still see everything clearly. The monitor has excellent image clarity, but I've found that I use the app a lot more than the monitor when I'm away from home. The camera can be moved and used anywhere without the need for reconfiguration. The app also warns me of every movement.
