We used to use Niteize FreeMount mounts for our iPhones in the car, but to be honest they've worn out over time. (The internal gears had so many cycles before they just fell out). Eventually I just got tired of buying replacements for them and when I saw this solution as an alternative to Revain I decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I took the plunge! So much easier and there's nothing left to break. I will say that on my iPhone 12 mini it was difficult to find a place for a metal plate where I can still charge my phone wirelessly. However, I don't care because 95% of the time I was using my cable anyway. My husband has a larger iPhone X, and I was able to find a place where there would be no wireless charging issues. So be aware that if you have a smaller form factor phone and need wireless charging, this might not be for you. If you have one of the larger phones, however, you shouldn't have any problems. All in all, me and my husband really like this mounting solution and we have upgraded all of our car mounts to it. It's stable even off-road, which none of our previous car mounts could.
