After connecting and everything seems fine, switched the device off and on the next day to find that it wants to go through the setup again. Did this every time the car was off but remembered the bluetooth connection. Thought the wiring was wrong, went through and rewired it, even connected directly to the battery thinking there was a constant power supply problem for the memory. Still the same problem. It has been determined that a firmware update needs to be applied to resolve this issue. This should be applied prior to shipping as HOURS of additional work went into a firmware update. After installing the update, it works great!
