How silly good for car radios

Pretty good for the price except for one problem. Does a car have to have a stupid parking brake to connect to Android Auto? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Jensen sticks his head out of his ass. Update: Completed installation on my wife's car. Everything worked. I had to bypass the parking brake locking Android Auto by connecting a broken wire to the black ground wire. I still find it stupid πŸ˜’. The call quality tests so far are really good, half an hour spent on it proves that the…

Great CarPlay Radio - Ram PU and Software Update Notes

This is a very good replacement radio. Installation was easy with the right install kit. Mine needed a software update (from the Jensen site) as it was an upgrade from version 1.1 to 1.3. Use a good flash drive and start the car. My upgrade kept failing until I used a better drive and started the truck. All I needed was the 200806 update. UPDATE: Jensen has released a firmware update and the bar described below has disappeared. Thank you for listening to your customers! Raised to 5 stars I really like it for the money. BUT please release firmware update to fix rear camera view. As another reviewer wrote with an image, there is a HUGE banner here that occupies valuable camera view. Manual update before work

After connecting and everything seems fine, switched the device off and on the next day to find that it wants to go through the setup again. Did this every time the car was off but remembered the bluetooth connection. Thought the wiring was wrong, went through and rewired it, even connected directly to the battery thinking there was a constant power supply problem for the memory. Still the same problem.
