This morning I was woken up by the buzzing sound of a broken extension cord. At first I suspected something was wrong with the fan until my wife realized that the extension cord actually caught fire behind the dresser. We immediately turned off the circuit breaker and realized that if we weren't home, a fire could start and cause significant damage to the house/burn down the house. I will consider reviewing the extension cord and exploring legal options at this point. Extremely disappointed in Revain and still shocked when I think about what could have happened if it had happened a few hours later in the day if no one was home. It seems that this device will NOT fail safely - this is absolutely unacceptable.
