This particular chair suits my needs. I have osteochondrosis and need to sit up straight and have good support for my lower and middle back. I'm small/small so I like the adjustable backrest and the fact that the seat isn't too wide and bulky. My chiropractor likes to have my knees slightly lower than my hips and this chair does that without making me feel like I'm slouching forward. Thank you for complaining about this feature from another reviewer as that was one of the reasons I ordered it! Subtly padded, fold-down armrests allow me to not only pull it up onto the table, but also lower it to just watch TV. I can lift my body off the seat by pressing on the armrests and opening my spine for easier 'pulling'. I also needed the seat to rise at least 20 inches and some other chairs don't. My only complaint so far is that crumbs and hair keep getting stuck in the seat belt material. And the point where the seat connects to the counter is a little wobbly, like most office chairs.
