I love this camera. I use it to scan pages and books to text. Being 4k, it has sufficient resolution to do 300 DPI for OCR processing on pages. Works with ScanTaylor, Microsoft Lens, Nuance OmniPage and BookSorber. It comes with the "Visualizer" software which is also good for taking snapshots of pages or anything you need to photograph. It doesn't have a light, so you'll need to use a backlight with a different light source. If you're buying document cameras or a good webcam, be aware that it's 4k. Most document cameras and webcams do not support 4k. Since the 4k format is relatively new, it should be advertised as 4k. Unless it specifically says it's 4k, it most likely isn't. This is important because you need around 4k to get 300 DPI images for good OCR processing. If you use less than 4k, misspelled (misidentified) words after OCR processing will require you to do a lot more editing, costing you a lot of time and frustration.
