Review on BERIGTTA 8 Outlet Metal Power Strip - Wall Mount Workshop Power with Switch, 15A 125V 1875W, 14AWG Power Cord (6FT) by Corey Singh

Ideal for any workshop

I have several identical (usually large) metal extensions in my garage and basement that make any job that much easier. I fasten securely (often with zip ties) and there is always an outlet. I never have to "rob Peter to pay Paul" or guess which fork is no longer needed. Anyway, I've never done this for my desk, which usually has multiple computers, multiple monitors, KVM switches, network switches, and who knows what. I rearrange from time to time but I'm about to run out of available outlets and it's hard to tell which ones are battery powered and which ones can be used for high current devices (this will affect battery life). I took a few of these, attached them to the metal legs of my tables and labeled one for the battery (actually I use colored electrical tape, the red is my backup battery code, the yellow isn't - good luck with both!). All of the above says more about the usefulness of this type of extension cord. When used it gets right: 1) There are enough outlets (fewer than 8 is useless to me) 2) The outlets are spaced/rotated to allow for various "warts on the wall" 3) The plug is long enough to reach to build a wall outlet (or UPS in my case) 4) is good enough. I'm not too concerned about over-voltage (upstream devices stop this), so I haven't even thought about how this solves this problem.
