My grandchildren have tried a few drones but always found them difficult and gave up quickly. You immediately understood how to use this one because it is based on intuitive hand gestures, or if you don't like hand gestures you can use the included remote control. Since the blades are protected, unlike some drones, it is very durable, especially since it is often "dropped" by young children. Our grandkids (okay, adults too) had fun flying this drone around the house trying to avoid obstacles. Very fun and worth the price
