They are better than the first ones I bought from HuwaiH which had no padding and fell apart after two weeks of infrequent use. They work much better than these, but they have their downsides. In fact, they are MUCH better for mountain biking than road biking. The gasket is much better placed for this type of use. I can ride trails for hours without discomfort, but my hands get so numb after just 45 minutes in the saddle on my road bike that I have to take my hands off the handlebars one at a time and shake my hands well to start bleeding again. It could be the """"ergonomic"""" grips my road bike came with, so take it as you will. In terms of durability, these things have held up very well. I beat them to death for months and the only wear I see is a slight discoloration.
