Review on Adjustable Cedar Shoe Trees For Men'S Shoes And Boots - HOUNDSBAY Wooden Shoe Stretcher With Sneaker Compatibility by Charles Baker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Seemed too small good for me

So far I have bought the Stratton solid, Stratton split toe and now the Houndsbay split toe shoe trees. I wear a size 9 and ordered the medium in all three. Laying the Houdsbay side by side with the Stratton they are pretty much the same size. I'm still not sure I like the amount of tension or lack of it that I get with either of the Stratton styles, but the Houndsbay I was certainly not happy with. It easily slipped into the shoe and in my opinion did not put enough tension on the spring to push out on the shoe enough. I returned the Houndsbay tree for that reason. The Stratton's to me are better and require more force to get into the shoe and therefore in puts more outward pressure on the toe area but I am still trying to find one that will put enough tension on the shoe to eliminate the creases in the toe, which seems to be the main reason to use them.

Pros
  • I liked everything about it. Used on golf shoes.
Cons
  • May not be lightweight
