You'll love having it on hand. Not very plug and play.

Luckily I know what I'm doing. Assembly required. It's not very straight forward. Each wire needs to be passed through a hollow nut and bolt and then attached to the base. Then you need to strip the wires etc. I used 4 port quick connectors and cable ties to connect. Along with some better quality wire nuts. I cut three 8" pieces of black 16ga wire and three 8" pieces of white 16ga wire that I had lying around. I grouped 8 wires in groups of three. Two groups get three wires by hand and I cut off one of the 8 inch wires. I then connected one of the groups to an additional port on the third quick connector. I left two black wires and two white wires to connect to the house wiring. With six quick connectors. I tied the four wires in each group together so they didn't pull out of the quick connectors (this helped a lot, all wires share voltage) All brown wires hot (black), all blue wires white (neutral). The bracket that came with my lamp did not fit in my overhead electrical box. Luckily I had one lying around that worked for him from the old world. I installed several LED bulbs. into the light and it works fine. Not sure if the wiring is thick enough to accommodate incandescent bulbs, the wiring doesn't get hot, but the LEDs hardly draw any current. Or you can use the parts from this kit to make other lightbulbs or something more (e.g. cast iron wiring for lamps).
