The large O-ring seemed too small for my application.

Good to know there is a pump repair kit instead of buying a new one. I have an 07 GTI with a 2.0t engine so I assumed the kit would work but the larger o-ring would not stay in the groove. I ended up having to put an actual sticky pad on the o-ring to hold it in place. enough time to put the cover back on. Time will tell what flows.
