I bought an 8 tier stand and am generally happy with it. The 5V fans are very quiet. However, there are several improvements. First, it is very difficult to align all the protrusions from the middle layers and from the fans with the slots in the top plate. The acrylic material of the thin middle layers is very brittle and I was able to break off some protrusions. I saw that the 12 tier version of this rack has a leveling tool (basically a plastic ruler with slots in it). exactly for this purpose. You should also include it in the 8-layer version. Alternatively, the middle layers could be made of a less brittle material. Personally, I don't require the middle layers to be transparent, so I would prefer them to be made of a non-acrylic opaque material that is less brittle. they consist of 4-layer racks that can be stacked inside each other. Not only would this solve the above problem, but it would also be an advantage in itself as it would allow users to upgrade from a smaller rack to a larger rack without having to buy a whole new case. Another area for improvement is the holes in the middle layers. You already have two sets of holes that you can use to place the Raspberry Pi in the center or on the edge. The edge placement brings the Raspberry Pi connectors closer to the side of the rack. By placing it on the edge, there is actually enough space to install a second Raspberry Pi on each level. This would have prevented the use of SD card extenders, but with USB boot now available this is less of an issue. On the other hand, this would significantly increase the rack density, ie - layered rack. Correct, the 3rd set of mounting holes is currently missing; so adding them is my final suggestion for improvement. Of course you can drill your own holes, but you need special acrylic drill bits, because traditional drill bits will destroy the acrylic middle layers.
