They may seem expensive but like most things that actually work as advertised, they are worth the money. My truck had deep scratches from driving through bushes - what truck owners affectionately call streaks to make them feel better about the scratches. I used yellow and orange pods with 32 sauce and the light scratches are completely gone. Deep scratches are hardly visible. I didn't bother with finer pads and grits because the truck looked good, there was absolutely no swirl, and because it's a truck. I'm sure that the Bosch 1250DEVS went a long way towards achieving this goal (Bosch does an excellent job on all grinding and polishing tasks, by the way). It took me about three hours to build a large SUV and since my wife's sub was right there I also touched up the scratches on it. I haven't tried any other products of this nature (except for elbow grease, rubbing paste, and some Walmart potions, which didn't work, by the way). Don't waste your time and money, either pay a professional or buy these pads in combination with a good polisher. For most jobs, you can probably get by with yellow and orange pads and #32 polish from the same company. Other pads should be for people who have more time and better cars than me.
