I have a 2021 Explorer with captain's seats and I need something strong enough to fill the gap for our 60 lb dog. I searched and searched for something and it turned out to be exactly what we needed. It's strong enough not to sag in the gap between the captain's chairs (I put a cushion underneath just in case) and it's perfect for connecting to the front seats. Essentially, this created an entirely flat platform for the second row of seats. It's a bit slippery but I put another dog bandage on it and that fixed the problem. It was easy to install and you can fold up part of it and attach it to another seat if you need to access one of the passenger seats. We haven't tried it yet, but it seems easy enough. Only downside at the moment is the front is not open to allow the dog to play with his head on the driver's armrest as he likes to do but he will adjust. I definitely recommend it.
