Review on Everpure EV927151 H 300 NXT Drinking System by Jennifer Addison

The picture of the filter head is incorrect as of March 2016. Pressure gauges or vertical and horizontal locking connections. I'm renovating my house and haven't installed this filter yet. I just want people to know that the picture does not match what is in the box. At least I inspected the filter head and the filter. Both look high quality. After installation I will update this review.------------------------------------------------------ ----------- - UPDATE: 6/11/2016 It's been a few months since my plumber installed this. I looked at my bill and couldn't believe how much I spent on this item. The price has come down significantly since I bought this filter in March 2016. I also installed a filter for the whole house. The water that leaves the entire home filter is filtered again by NXT. To be honest I can't tell the difference between the water that just comes out of a whole house filter and the water that NXT filters. In both cases, the water tastes better than normal tap water. NXT's ads state that it also filters out some pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter drugs, etc. I can only believe the manufacturers. I know that when these things are filtered out, they don't affect the taste of the water. Before installing this filter, I bought water from "water storage" in 5 gallon jugs. I can feel the difference between the water NXT filters and the water from the store. The difference can be caused by minerals that are not filtered by NXT. I don't mind this difference. Would I buy this filter again? no The whole house filter I purchased (3M Aqua-Pure Whole House Water Filtration System - Model AP801-C) seems to do a reasonable job of filtering out substances that ruin the taste of tap water. I keep 4 stars. Valuation. The NXT appears to be a quality product and the filter is easy to change. It could also be filtering out additional unwanted substances in my tap water that I can't taste.
