For the most part this is a good leader. Works but could be better. The material is strong enough but a little thinner than other leashes. It should also be a bit wider. It's not very convenient if you have to wrap it around your arm. The padded handles are not actually padded, just sewn-in strips of neoprene. The locking works very well. To open, both sides of the lock must be engaged at the same time. I haven't shaken it off yet. Overall the leash works but don't expect it to be comfortable.
