Review on Get Ready For Summer With Plaid&Plain Women'S High Waisted Rolled Blue Jean Shorts by Dan Olsen

These are very cute but I was surprised to find that they ran big since most reviews had said they seemed to fit tighter on a curvy figure. For reference, I'm 5'6, 38-29-40 and 155lbs. I ordered my true to size L and could've easily sized down to a M for a possibly more flattering fit because these suckers are loose! Thankfully the elastic seems sturdy, so I don't feel like they're going anywhere without a good tug, lol. I will say that the material is very soft and feels much better quality than I was expecting and there was also no weird/chemical smell on the pair of shorts I received (yay!) The color light blue was exactly as pictured, it arrived with a bonus black belt AND the pockets are smartphone HUGE! (Score!)So, since I'm not completely against the "mom bod" look and the extra "pouch" these give me, especially since the rest of the features are of such great quality (in my opinion) these will be sticking around for summer ²⁰¹⁹ . I do think I'll be ordering a second pair in the smaller size just to give myself another fun option ;)UPDATE ON 6/7/19:I went ahead and returned the size LARGE from this original purchase. I liked everything about the quality but I just couldn't get past all the extra fabric in the front. So, I ended up purchasing 2 more pairs each in different sizes.First, I purchased the light blue color again but this time in the MEDIUM.these were still loose but fit much better. These however, had major issues. The appearance was similar to my first pair and the cotton was soft (not stretchy but also not scratchy) but good grief.these stink! They smelled of bleach/chlorine and there were tons of little stray strands popping out all over them! Idk if washing them would help, but if not, I really wouldn't want to wear these in public with how bad they smell.The Second pair I purchased was the gray color in a SMALL (since the light blue was on backorder) these fit even better than the mediums on the top but the leg openings are much more restrictive. Its probably because the material was also different than the light blue pair. They felt like a more sturdy cotton and definitely more stiff than the other two pairs had been. These DID NOT have a smell, which automatically made them a little better.Overall , I'm very disappointed about the inconsistencies between sizes/color because I really wanted these to work. I love the look of the smalls but prefer the softer cotton of the light blue pair(s). May just need to try again with the light blue pair in a SMALL (if they ever restock) and see where it gets me 🤷‍♀️
