Just got this remote and tried it on my Sony Bravias LCD. These are 2009-2011 32-, 40- and 46-inch models. All old remote controls had different model numbers. This new remote worked on all three TVs. It feels like a loose battery, I just cut a small piece of foam rubber and glued it to the battery cover which seems to fit snugly.
