These connectors promise to make the RJ45 crimping process more reliable. I've found that you have to strip the outer wire insulation at least about 2.5 full inches, which is a lot more than the traditional method. You also really need to work with the wires to straighten them out and you MUST cut the ends of the wires to exactly the same length so they go through the holes. This part is very time consuming but the promise is that you will be able to eliminate the cable testing step to verify the wiring order and complete the connection. This is because these special connectors allow the wires to pass through so you can check the correct order and make sure the wires don't cross when you plug them into the connector like traditional connectors do. Also, since all wires pass past the connectors, there is no risk of a wire being too short to reach the connector.
