You need a compressor for this tool. It is very easy to use (I have a quick connector on my air hose which makes it very easy to connect this tool when I need it). I tested it with another sensor just to make sure it was accurate and it showed the exact same numbers as that sensor. Love the fact that it inflates tires very quickly, I was able to quickly inflate tires on two of my cars. A pressure gauge on top of the grip you use to inflate makes it very easy to check the pressure as you inflate the tire. No need to turn off every time you want to know the pressure, just release the button and know instantly. The deflator button comes in very handy when you pump too much air (just press it for a few seconds until you reach the desired pressure). The screen lights up when you squeeze the handle to automatically inflate and deflate the cultivator when the handle is released. I am very happy with my purchase.
