Review on Simthreads 12 Variegated Color Embroidery Machine Thread - Ideal for 🧵 Janome, Brother, Pfaff, Babylock, Singer, Bernina, Husqvarna and Most Sewing Embroidery Machines by Summer Hendricks

This branch does not work on any of my machines. I use several brands of fmq embroidery thread on two different home quilting machines and when I needed a colorful thread I decided to try these as they were nice and had good reviews. However, they don't work at all on my machines. I tried the two spools that came with the set and both spools pushed the thread further between the tension plates, leaving a bird's nest of thread shirred across the entire back of the quilt (as shown in the picture). I kept trying and adjusting the tension and nothing changed, the fact that the thread just didn't stay between the tension plates. Very disappointing as the colorful threads were very pretty and would have looked great in this project. I ended up having to drive several hours to find a store that had a matching strain. I strongly recommend not ordering this yarn if you intend to use it for quilting.
