I was hesitant to buy this for a project I had and I was right. I set it to 3/4" Yatoba and didn't know if it would work. So I asked the manufacturer if that would be the case and they said absolutely, with minimal tongue breakage. Air and either they all went too far and cracked their tongue or they never got the cleat in far enough. Also the cleats don't seem to go in at the right angle.By adjusting the shoe you just can't get the perfect position which I think leads to a broken tongue.I voted for decided to use a pneumatic nailer instead It used 16 gauge spikes and had very few tongue breaks I mean I didn't buy this from Revain but from another store I decided to do this review based on the manufacturer's response to my question to edit Good nailer for some uses but not for me.
