Description of Efficient 18 Gauge Powernail Nailer for Engineered Flooring

Put the Hammer Down! This 18-gauge flooring nailer takes all of the intimidation out of a floor installation with the pull of a trigger. No mallet is required to operate this tool, but it still drives an 18-gauge floor cleat! It is perfect for today's top brands of engineered flooring. Install the widest variety of Wood Floor. Featuring Powernail's patented FLEX Foot technology, this 18-ga floor nailer is fully adjustable and installs engineered wood flooring from 3/4" to 3/8". Protect your floor! This Powernailer's adjustable foot will not scratch or damage prefinished floor, nor will it loosen half-way through an installation. The Flex foot keeps this tool off of the subfloor so when adhesive is used your tool will not drag or catch. This trigger-pull cleat nailer is sold as a kit and includes one model 50F nailer, one large tapping block and a Heavy-Duty Carrying Case. Install your floor with a nail designed specifically for floors! The Powernail Model 50F drives 18-gauge, L-shaped Floor Cleats (Floor Nails) in lengths from 1-3/4" to 1". The model 50F can install traditional tongue and groove Engineered Wood Flooring as well as Interlocking systems. Use with 18-gauge Powernail PowerCleats or similar brands 18-ga L-shaped steel cleats.

Ideal for artificial bamboo floors (beach). I have

I bought this nail puller after returning another one I bought for this project. I was worried that this one wouldn't work either, so I contacted the manufacturer (seller) and left my phone number and asked for some information. I received a call less than 5 minutes after posting. I was assured that this nailer would work or they would happily refund my money upon return of the nailer. It was incredibly easy to set the nail point and made the job very easy. If you are looking to buy a bamboo…

Pros
  • certified
Cons
  • cord shorter than others

Easy to use, compact but unreliable

I bought this gun for repairs. I was running 3/8 hardwood and had about 100 square feet when the spring on the nail locking mechanism broke. It fell apart as you can see in the photos. Revain will refund the money, but it is not possible to replace my time with work that should have been completed on the day it was interrupted. Revain gets an A+, Powernail, well that's a failure. I may have been unlucky enough to get a defect but on the plus side it was easy to use, light weight, fast, easy to…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good

Maybe good for thinner woods but not 3/4 "

I was hesitant to buy this for a project I had and I was right. I set it to 3/4" Yatoba and didn't know if it would work. So I asked the manufacturer if that would be the case and they said absolutely, with minimal tongue breakage. Air and either they all went too far and cracked their tongue or they never got the cleat in far enough. Also the cleats don't seem to go in at the right angle.By adjusting the shoe you just can't get the perfect position which I think leads to a broken tongue.I voted

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
