I don't write very many product reviews. The ones I leave are for very bad products or products that have impressed me a lot. These scissors easily fit into the second category. First, these scissors are VERY SHARP. I like the adjustment knob that allows you to adjust the tension. I'm a "leftist" who started doing things with my right hand when I was young. As a result, I do things with both my left and right hands. Like all left-handers, I know the frustration of scissors made for right-handers. For those of you who are right handed, yes there is a difference. Like most scissors, they're designed for right-handers, but with a simple flip they work just as well as left-handers. The grip holes are not ergonomically designed to only be used in one direction. They match your fingers equally well on any occasion. I had concerns about the finger rest, but I saw where it can be removed. Immediately after receiving the scissors, I unscrewed the others and set them aside. Since only one of the grips has threads to screw in the finger rest, I was sure it was intended for right-handers and didn't see a need. After using beard scissors for about a week I decided to put the finger rest back on and see if that helped or was a hindrance as I suspected. After reinstalling, I was happy to find that it didn't get in the way, and I prefer it with the finger rest installed. I use an electric beard trimmer but there are always some hairs that stay a bit long. If you work in an office with a short to medium beard and like me want your beard to look professional, these scissors are a quick and easy way to trim your beard to look like you just stepped out of the salon. If I had to criticize it would be that the finger holes are a little smaller than I would have liked. It was annoying at first, but not that bad once I got used to it. These scissors are not like the scissors your wife keeps in her kitchen drawer or the ones you use to cut wrapping paper. These require big holes, but what they're used for, if you're like me you'll find they work very well and feel good in the hand. I would buy them again anytime I lose this set. That's the only reason I see the need to buy another set of these scissors. They are very sharp and well designed. I never wear them. If you're not sure which pair to buy, you can't go wrong with this set. They come in a lovely travel case and even include a hairbrush that fits in the scissor case. Just so you don't think I'm being compensated for this review, I haven't received anything from any other company. as the highest quality product.
