A good product. in Tools & Equipment

Bought a smaller kit and got a separate Toyota 29mm adapter (46270). This revealed that the kit was a different size and the replacement tie rod was a different size again! I didn't need 29mm, but I think if I used genuine Toyota parts it would be 29mm. Needless to say, the set worked well for me. I would suggest a master set, buy Cry once. As for the quality. I don't know who broke it but my 38" hammer on this tool made the inner tie rod feel like it wasn't even tightened lol. Difficult work…

Well made and easy to use.

Made in USA. Worked great on my 1996 Mercury Villager/Nissan Quest. Easy to use and if you don't want to drop the motor mounts or whatever to free the motor to try out this operation, it's practically a de facto necessity. I don't understand where the price for these specialized Tool Master Kits comes from, but that goes for all kits and I don't understand that this is a bad price. The price is competitive with other kits. Since Autozone takes the cost of the kit as a deposit, I then decided to

Probably expensive. Its worth it? ABSOLUTELY.

This tool was a life saver. The inner knuckles on my 2000 Audi A4 and 2001 Audi A6 were too big for the tools borrowed from O'Reilly, Advance and AutoZone. Not enough room to move a giant open-end wrench or half-round wrench (and left/right movement is difficult at this angle, with limited range of motion). With this tool I was able to change the tie rod in a few minutes. My only complaint is that the gooseneck for my machine (1.5" / 32.4mm) was a bit loose on the tie rod. This may have been…

Did a great job removing and installing my internal tie rods.

Worked great for removing and installing internal tie rods on my '99 Toyota Corolla. The pipe wrench snaps into goosefoot and the 1/2" drive works great with my torque wrench. It was easy to remove and install the tie rods with this tool kit. Definitely worth the money for the convenience and time savings without skimping on the Having to resort to working with other tools I subscribe to the philosophy of having the right tool for the job and this kit hits the spot A little pricey for a DIY…

Works perfectly! best tool for ball joints and tie rods

Lisle inner tie rod tool worked great on my 1999 Volvo S80. Without him the work would not have been possible. I swapped out the inner and outer tie rods on both sides with no problems. Volvo tie rods still have 125,000 miles to go :-). Worth the purchase price, especially considering our local shop (i.e., Great Mechanic) wanted $225 just to replace the outer tie rod on one side, and the Volvo dealership wanted more. I replaced all four tie rods (i.e. inner and outer on both sides) for less…

Lisle 45750 Tie Rod Tool

Trying to get the tie rods out of my 2000 VW Jetta TDI was literally impossible until I got this tool. I spent hours trying to find a way to remove (unscrew) them from the steering box. The Factory Repair Manual (FSM) says to pull the steering box out (hard work in itself) and then use a vise to remove the tie rods from it. Another option is to take it to the dealer and have them make it for $500 or more. Get this tool. Spend money. After getting the tool and eventually dropping the correct…

Made the job cheaper and quicker than paying the dealer/mechanic.

I have an '03 Toyota Camry. I used a 29mm houndstooth bit with a 3 foot breaker on the end of the tool. The inner tie rod came off without much effort! The instructions provided, as well as searching the toyotanation.com forum posts, make this process easy. The day before I spent 2 or 3 hours without tools but to no avail. Today I swapped both sides. inner and outer tie rods in 2 hours including unpacking/packing tools, jacking up the car, removing wheels etc. The tools included more…
