Lisle inner tie rod tool worked great on my 1999 Volvo S80. Without him the work would not have been possible. I swapped out the inner and outer tie rods on both sides with no problems. Volvo tie rods still have 125,000 miles to go :-). Worth the purchase price, especially considering our local shop (i.e., Great Mechanic) wanted $225 just to replace the outer tie rod on one side, and the Volvo dealership wanted more. I replaced all four tie rods (i.e. inner and outer on both sides) for less than $225 including tools. This is an essential tool and made the job very easy. By the way, there are many good videos on YouTube showing how to do this job. I'm not a mechanic so the video was very helpful. I'm sure I'll use our local mechanics for other work, but you can do this yourself in about an hour (two max) if you're a bit forthcoming. PS Don't forget to get the wheels adjusted at your local tire shop after installing the tie rod. Then everything should work great!
