Review on 🔧 Forney Easy Weld 140 MP Multi-Purpose Welder, Ideal for Various Welding Processes by Nick Atkinson

I'm fairly familiar with welding in general and the various processes involved. However, I have never welded before, so this machine was my first experience. I have to say I am very satisfied! Not only with the quality of the welder, but also with the results I was able to get in the first few hours of ownership. so i had to order online. Well, it turned out to be a disaster - the order was delayed by two months, and when it finally arrived, they sent me a completely different product! Well I gave up and I'm glad I did - this welder is MUCH better than what I would get from Harbor Freight. Everyone. Well I could have replaced the ground terminal with something better but the one in the box worked fine. spend a few sticks to learn something. I had a gate latch and trailer tail light mount that needed welding, but I knew it was best to play with the fairing first to try to get the hang of it and dial in my technique. So far I've only used the arc welding process, but at some point I know I want to use the MIG process. I don't think I'll ever play around with the TIG process, but it's nice to know I have that option if I ever need it. Within the first hour I placed a respectable bead between two 1/8 inch pieces of steel (using 6013 rod). She wasn't pretty, but she wasn't ugly, and she was definitely solid. I felt confident enough to tackle the lock repaired gate and trailer. I am very happy with my results. I feel like I have a quality machine and any welding issues I have will most likely be due to my lack of experience or skill on my own, not the machine. One The Thing I love about this machine that I haven't seen on others such as this inverter based welder being "generator friendly" on a 20 acre ranch. I don't erect metal buildings or fix hot rods, I just hold gates and fences, ranchers and other common farm/ranch items together. I can't justify a $5000 Bobcat gas welder but this little guy and the 5500 watt generator can will do the job well enough for less than $1000. I would say this is the home option for anyone with basic needs. If you have good welding skills, this machine will serve you well.
