My husband and I went to a glam party in Hollywood. I wanted an old Hollywood look so I ordered this shawl in beige. I combined the scarf with a sequin/beaded dress. A beige cloth looks whiter (on a scale from very light white to warm white, it is softer/warm white). For reference, I'm 5ft 9" and the length of the scarf was perfect for draping under my shoulders. It also surprisingly kept me warm. I had to take it off after about an hour but I was inside. a hit and we ended up winning best dressed couple.I may wear this scarf again at other winter events.
