Assembly was a lot easier than I thought. The base is a single piece of wood and it's not that big. Now he was a lot bigger than I thought, which isn't a bad thing! It's very beautiful, I like the color and the fur is very soft. Now the black piece is like a cleaning brush and I was nervous my cat wouldn't like it but he LOVES it and loves to rub it and chew on the side for some reason. The bed upstairs is very soft and plush. Follow the instructions and make sure the pillows have one edge facing out. Well, when it comes to screws, there is one C screw that can easily be confused with others. I would definitely recommend this tree to other pet owners. Thank you!
