I don't understand how they are supposed to stop drips
These wine jugs have material (felt?) in the metal rings, but this material does not provide even contact with the neck of the bottle. When I first used it, the wine dripped down through one of the slots on the side of the bottle. I do not understand. There are many such collars on sale and you can see from the photos that illustrate them that the material is uneven. I would appreciate if someone could tell me what I'm missing or doing wrong. They may fit certain bottle shapes or sizes, but not the red wine bottle I tried.
