Commonly Used --

I purchased this item to complement my Dymo Embossed Label Printer. It definitely offers more marking than the embossed versions due to the large amount of tape on each cartridge. I use it regularly in my workshop to identify small parts and fasteners stored in baskets or other containers. The tool is easy to use and offers multiple editing options including borders, styles, borders and many more options. IT even has memory to store commonly used formats. No messy ink and lettering is perfect, unlike embossing and no wasted tape. If you make a mistake, simply correct it before printing the desired number of labels. For readability, transparent labels work best on light backgrounds, while colored labels work best on dark backgrounds. The labels on this machine are thin and easy to apply. They have a separate backing for each label, making application quick and easy. This tool's labels stick well to smooth surfaces and most textured surfaces (except textured poly). I'll be using my embossing machines for some complex textured finishes. This manufacturer's labels are fairly waterproof and we've used them on spice jars with no problem after occasionally damp wiping the outside. This label printer uses (6) AA batteries and will run out quickly for large labeling jobs. I bought a power supply for this model from Revain to fix this problem. I am very satisfied with this label printer and use it often. Complete and simple instructions were included with my purchase.
