A pretty cool gadget

The Buddypuppy Portable Neck Fan is a pretty cool gadget in many ways. Compared to older neck fans like upward blowing box chains or more modern curved things with two traditional fans at the ends, this neck fan features fans with recessed air intakes for safety, as well as vents along the neckline for safety. Cooling and flexible silicone connection between the two halves for easy fit adjustment. Overall, this product seems pretty well thought out and all of the individual features work together to make it more than the sum of its parts. In use, I preferred low to medium settings as it was a good balance of cooling efficiency, noise levels, and battery life. The High mode certainly moves a lot of air, but I found the noise quite annoying. There are no vents on the back of the neck on this model, which I really like as they make the entire fan rigid, while Buddypuppy has a flexible silicone band that allows the two halves to move with your body. Form follows function and in my opinion form surpasses. Overall I like this product although the materials and build quality could be improved. The body is made out of fairly cheap plastic and I'm not entirely sure how this product will hold up. I also wish the style was a bit more distinctive and it came in a few different colors as one of my friends commented that it looks like a pair of oversized headphones.

Pros
  • Neck Lighter: The middle part of the personal fan is made of silicone material, the angle of which can be adjusted at will, and it fits your skin better. Weighs only 200g, can be easily hung around the neck without any pressure.
Cons
  • No Instructions
