Five or six years ago I stopped buying Christmas lights from the big department stores. Also LED filaments are not durable as they are connected in series and the sockets are not sealed. I only buy parallel wired cords that use either E12/E17 or sealed outlets. Definitely needed more light as I decided to enlarge our display this year. Those C9 headlights were perfect. They all worked. They look good and are very bright. Because the outer bulb is plastic, it is not easy to break. I assume they will last a long time. The only downside is that they are made in a country that regularly sends citizens to concentration camps for religious and ethnic reasons - China. If I could find lanterns made in a country that respects human rights I would buy them even if they cost a lot more.
