Love This Air Fryer

My first hot air fryer was the little Gourmia. It was good, but it didn't have much power. To make matters worse, the pot had vent holes that prevented us from retaining soapy water when cleaning. So I bought a second Gourmia that had more capacity and a pot that I could fill with soapy water to clean. I've used my deep fryers to cook scallops, lobster tail, sausage, hamburger patties, and anything that used to be grilled. It's easy to clean, and if it's not as good as a grill, it more than makes up for the convenience. It's also great for reheating a slice of pizza - much better than a microwave or toaster oven. I wasn't dissatisfied with the Gourmia, but as I use the air fryer so often I thought it was worth buying even if it's only marginally better. Simply put, I love this thing. As mentioned in another review it has two cooking pans that can be used on three tiers and it cooks much hotter/faster on the top tier than the bottom one. The other reviewer was visibly disappointed, but I see that as a feature. Today I cooked schnitzel with sausages at the highest level, they turned out very dark and fried well, but not burned. They would have cooked well on the bottom rack but would not have been as dark and possibly drier. the floor like when grilling. But just out of curiosity, I air fried the batch in a rotating basket (with a light drizzle of canola oil) and they turned golden brown like they were deep fried. They didn't taste any better, but they looked more elegant. Overall I like this instant vortex fryer and consider it an improvement over the two Gourmia models. It is very easy to use and clean, and its performance justifies the higher price.
