This microphone stand is perfect and 100% profitable. Why? Not only is it exactly "as advertised," it's also a traditional mic stand with a weighted (cast iron?) base that occupies a small footprint. That means you can place it where you need it and not have to deal with tripod-style quick-release legs. This is important if your microphone is heavy. It is assembled (screwed / unscrewed) very easily and quickly (if necessary). The threads are very tight and I didn't have to tighten them while I was doing anything, and I didn't have to use a "thread lock" to make sure I held them in place. It is important. It also comes with a microphone holder, which is usually $5-10 as an accessory at a music store. There are also plastic "dots" for the base of the mic stand to prevent slipping and scratching the floor, as well as a mic cable clamp. The height is adjustable so you can easily use it at your desk, standing or with other accessories. like a microphone stand. All in all, I haven't seen mic stands like this for under $35 in decades. I also like how balanced the stand is - if you're going to be theatrical with your stage presence, a mic stand is a great prop too.
