Necessary!

If you are a paper crafter and love to draw with ink, then this tool is for you! For those of you who don't know, it's a piece of wood with a handle that has Velcro (scratchable) attached to the bottom. The blending foam is attached to the handle with Velcro (soft) so you can place it on the ink pad and blend the color with the paper. just the ink mustn't wash off?) I used to use cotton balls for the ink around the edges or made it directly from the swab itself. While these methods work, I love this blending tool because it gives you so much more control and precision with ink. Did I mention you can FLUSH pads? Here's what I did to keep things neat and tidy: I took a few small pieces of sticky Velcro (scratch side) and attached a little to the bottom of each of my emergency ink pads. I have spare packs of mixed foam and keep one at the bottom of each distress ink pad. I rinse each one when I'm done and tape it to the bottom of the pad. That way I have a lather for each color (because they don't wash out completely) so I don't have to worry about my pads getting dirty. It's also great when I'm working with lots of colors because I know I have one for each and I don't have to get up to wash one off so I can add another color.
