I hung them in my dorm room! They look really pretty and definitely help fill in the gap you may have on your "glowing" wall. I only have two problems with the light. The first option is indeed the preferred one, but the solid light option is the last option as it's a mode that adds time when you just need some light. The second problem I have is that for some reason some of my other remotes turn off the light when I don't want to turn it off. The home button on my Roku remote and the volume down button on my TV remote are two examples of buttons on the remote that simply turn off the light. Otherwise these lights work great!
