The Lumix GF3 is a bit more expensive than its competitors (Sony CX) but well worth the money. Surprisingly, the camera's "brain" knows what you want to do, and the result is amazing. The 14-42 mm zoom is very bright and takes great pictures. Of course, if you want to use the fast continuous shooting mode at sporting events, you need a longer zoom. Having photos in both "raw" format and JPEG format is useful for organizing your photos, in addition to scaling and red-eye removal. Battery life is also excellent, allowing you to stay off the network for days even with heavy camera use. What could be improved is the flash. It's nice to have a built-in flash, but it's so powerful that it smoothes the image too much. But that's not a problem, because even indoors and in low light, flash-free photos are excellent. Check out this camera, it's a gem!
