Rugged 4/3 digital camera camera

We bought this camera to shoot everything from hanging out with friends to long hikes. So the portability of the camera is the main thing we like about it. I can hang it on my shoulder while walking and forget about it. So far it makes a pretty solid impression. It does a fantastic job of capturing landscapes in normal lighting conditions. For the price, it takes amazing shots. The only reason a star is photographed is the quality of the lens. As mentioned above, it takes great pictures…

Pros
  • Nice packaging

  • Makes me angry

Better than G12

I currently use a Canon 5F Mark II but needed something smaller to take to crazy events like kids birthday parties, swimming pools and other fun places dads go. In the beginning I have a G12 because I always use Canon. But I really don't like the G12 - it's so slow on shutter. The GF3 is much faster in every way (especially shutter speed), although it's still not a DSLR. I used to wear the G12 in cargo shorts (uncomfortable but technically fit) - where the GF3 would never go. The G12's physical

Amazing picture and video quality

The Lumix GF3 is a bit more expensive than its competitors (Sony CX) but well worth the money. Surprisingly, the camera's "brain" knows what you want to do, and the result is amazing. The 14-42 mm zoom is very bright and takes great pictures. Of course, if you want to use the fast continuous shooting mode at sporting events, you need a longer zoom. Having photos in both "raw" format and JPEG format is useful for organizing your photos, in addition to scaling and red-eye removal. Battery life is

Exactly the camera I was looking for

If you are looking for DSLR sle cams without the bulk cost or price then this camera is for you. This is fantastic. I wanted a DSLR speed camera and I found it in this camera. It's fast. I can click the trigger constantly and never miss anything as I always miss the target when shooting. Batch mode makes this even faster. I envied those who had a DSLR and the speed at which they could shoot. Not anymore and my camera is much smaller and lighter. She doesn't have a viewfinder, but if you're like

Brilliant! good for digital cameras (so far)

I received this camera yesterday and have been using it almost nonstop since (although I don't think that says much as it only lasted a day). So far I'm very happy with it! I'm an artist and sometimes do semi-serious photo projects as a part-time job. I have a good (film) DSLR that I use, but I wanted something smaller, lighter and more suitable for everyday use. I'm also not particularly interested in Flash or video, so those features didn't bother me. The manual settings were important to me…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
