We bought this camera to shoot everything from hanging out with friends to long hikes. So the portability of the camera is the main thing we like about it. I can hang it on my shoulder while walking and forget about it. So far it makes a pretty solid impression. It does a fantastic job of capturing landscapes in normal lighting conditions. For the price, it takes amazing shots. The only reason a star is photographed is the quality of the lens. As mentioned above, it takes great pictures outdoors and in good light conditions. Just don't plan on shooting indoors or in the dark. It's just not designed for this operation. To get a lens that works well in these conditions, you have to double the price of the camera. So it's only fair that they include this lens.
