Review on ๐ŸŽง Bose Proflight Series 2 Aviation Headset with Bluetooth & XLR Cable, Black - Premium Comfort & Connectivity by Steven Cox

Revainrating 3 out of 5

good but not for everyone

I want to upgrade my headset and decided to give it a try. Bose is known for its excellent sound quality, which in this case lives up to its name. I liked most of the features it came with. Radio calls were clear and distinct. Bluetooth was good when I had to call maintenance at the gate. Tap-through wasn't particularly useful, as it was just as easy to pick up the phone, and the flight attendant gave me a funny look as she sat and tapped my ear. The only issue I have with this headset is the comfort. Yes, it's lightweight and has less clamping force than most headsets that I've had enough of. But for some reason my ear hurts. I tested the headset for 5 days (plane flights) for a total of about 24 flight hours and on days 3 and 4 I can't wait to take it off. The fifth day was so awful I could barely keep it in my ears (flying time from 1.5 to 6 hours a day). I've tried changing the eartips to different sizes but that hasn't helped the pain. I think comfort is an important part of choosing a headset so I deducted 2 stars for that and also returned the product as I can't stand it. can solve this hotspot/pain problem i was having. I just don't want to risk spending another $200 on top of the $1100 I've already spent on a headset that should be comfortable out of the box.

  • Decent performance
Cons
