I've been using goop to remove grease from clothes and prevent stains since the 80's. It's also a good hand cleaner, but I don't work in a garage, so I'm rarely elbow-deep in grease. It is best applied to clothing shortly after the grease has been applied and rubbed into the stain with a stiff brush if the fabric will permit. Although it can remove stains after the first wash, it's much less effective at doing so. If your item is a light color, be careful not to allow the gunk to dry too much on the clothing before washing as this may result in the gunk soiling the clothing. It is best to wash them five to ten minutes after applying the product.
